A techno-economic assessment is conducted for a multigeneration system comprised of two renewable energy subsystems—geothermal and solar—to supply electrical power, cooling, heating, hydrogen and hot water for buildings. The proposed system is evaluated in terms of energy and exergy efficiencies. The simulation results show that the electrolyzer produces 2.7 kg/h hydrogen. A parametric study is carried out to assess the effect of various parameters on the system energy and exergy efficiencies. The economic assessment, performed using the Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software, shows that the net present cost of the optimized electrical power system is $476,000 and the levelized cost of electricity is $0.089/kWh. 相似文献

The hollow clay brick is the typical building unit that is employed not only over the whole Greece but also in many other Mediterranean countries. Nevertheless, its design is completely empirical. In this study, the design of the hollow clay brick is analyzed by employing a finite element package. To carry out this analysis, the thermal conductivity of the solid clay is measured by the transient hot-wire technique. As a consequence of the analysis, an improvement of 24 % in the design of the hollow clay brick is proposed. 相似文献

Matrix decomposition of the channel matrix in the form of QR decomposition (QRD) is needed for advanced multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) demapping algorithms like sphere decoder. Due to the computation-intensive nature of the QRD, its implementation has to be highly efficient. Flexibility in several forms, e.g. support for different algorithms, reusability of wireless implementations, portability, etc. is highly sought in wireless devices. The contradictory nature of flexibility and efficiency requires tradeoffs to be made between them in system development. In this paper, we have analyzed such tradeoffs by implementing two minimum mean squared error-sorted QRD algorithms. The algorithms have been implemented in four different methods with varying degree of reusability and in five different forms of portability. The performance of the implementations is evaluated by using the real-time constraints from the LTE standard. The reliability of InP/InGaAs DHBT under high collector current densities and low junction temperatures is analyzed and modeled. From the Gummel characteristics, we observe several types of device degradation, resulting from the long term changes of base and collector current in both lower and higher base–emitter voltage ranges which impacts the reduction of DC current gain. In this paper, we investigate the underlying physical mechanism of base and collector current degradation with the help of TCAD device simulation. We chose the HICUM model level2 for the modeling purpose to evaluate the drift of model parameters according to stress time. The evolution of the model parameters is described with suitable equations to achieve a physics based compact electrical aging model. The aging laws and the parameter evolution equations with stress time are implemented in compact electrical aging model which allows us to simulate the impact of device failure mechanisms on the circuit in operating conditions. 相似文献

The present contribution aims at determining the impact of modifying the properties of the absorber/buffer layer interface on the electrical performance of Cu2ZnSnSe4 (CZTSe) thin‐film solar cells, by using a Cd2+ partial electrolyte (Cd PE) treatment of the absorber before the buffer layer deposition. In this work, CZTSe/CdS solar cells with and without Cd PE treatment were compared with their respective Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGSe)/CdS references. The Cd PE treatment was performed in a chemical bath for 7 min at 70 °C using a basic solution of cadmium acetate. X‐ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements have revealed the presence of Cd at the absorber surface after the treatment. The solar cells were characterized using current density–voltage (J–V), external quantum efficiency, and drive‐level capacitance profiling measurements. For the CZTSe‐based devices, the fill factor increased from 57.7% to 64.0% when using the Cd PE treatment, leading to the improvement of the efficiency (η) from 8.3% to 9.0% for the best solar cells. Similar observations were made on the CIGSe solar cell reference. This effect comes from a considerable reduction of the series resistance (RS) of the dark and light J–V, as determined using the one‐diode model. Pulsed femtosecond laser irradiation at low repetition rate, without any annealing, has been used to localize the growth of PbS nanoparticles, for the first time, inside a transparent porous silica matrix prepared by a sol-gel route. Before the irradiation, the porous silica host has been soaked within a solution containing PbS precursors. The effect of the incident laser power on the particle size was studied. X-ray diffraction was used to identify the PbS crystallites inside the irradiated areas and to estimate the average particle size. The localized laser irradiation led to PbS crystallite size ranging between 4 and 8 nm, depending on the incident femtosecond laser power. The optical properties of the obtained PbS-silica nanocomposites have been investigated using absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopies. Finally, the stability of PbS nanoparticles embedded inside the host matrices has been followed as a function of time, and it has been shown that this stability depends on the nanoparticle mean size. 相似文献

Nanostructured hexolites (40/60), (60/40), (80/20) and microstructured hexolite (60/40) powders are pressed by uniaxial compression to obtain explosive charges. This kind of composition is often used for the synthesis of detonation nanodiamonds. The morphology, density and cohesion of the resulting pellets are analyzed in the light of the different used compression parameters. This study allows optimizing the compression parameters to obtain well suited explosive charges from nanostructured explosive components. A good cohesion of the nanostructured explosive pellets could be obtained with increasing the temperature used for the compression. Poly(styrene‐β‐isobutylene‐β‐styrene)‐poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (SIBS‐P3HT) conducting composite fibers are successfully produced using a continuous flow approach. Composite fibers are stiffer than SIBS fibers and able to withstand strains of up 975% before breaking. These composite fibers exhibit interesting reversible mechanical and electrical characteristics, which are applied to demonstrate their strain gauging capabilities. This will facilitate their potential applications in strain sensing or elastic electrodes. Here, the fabrication and characterization of highly stretchable electrically conducting SIBS‐P3HT fibers using a solvent/non‐solvent wet‐spinning technique is reported. This fabrication method combines the processability of conducting SIBS‐P3HT blends with wet‐spinning, resulting in fibers that could be easily spun up to several meters long. The resulting composite fiber materials exhibit an increased stiffness (higher Young’s modulus) but lower ductility compared to SIBS fibers. The fibers’ reversible mechanical and electrical characteristics are applied to demonstrate their strain gauging capabilities. 相似文献
